How does QuickBooks Desktop work with Knowify?
Knowify’s integration with QuickBooks Desktop is push-to-sync, so you control when and where transactions and time push between the two platforms. Nearly all the data that syncs between Knowify and QuickBooks Online also syncs between Knowify and QuickBooks Desktop. However, you will not be able to take advantage of other powerful integrations, like QuickBooks Online Payroll or Payments.
The QuickBooks Desktop integration is only available on Knowify’s Enterprise plan.

For those teams that already use and enjoy QuickBooks Time, Knowify allows you to pull in tracked labor hours from your QuickBooks timesheets directly into Knowify, for labor costing and reporting purposes.
What is QuickBooks Payments?
QuickBooks Payments is a free add-on, available with your QuickBooks Online account. It allows you to send clients a payment portal along with your invoices, so they can pay you right away by ACH or credit card.
How does QuickBooks Payments work with Knowify?
For Knowify users with QuickBooks Payments enabled in their QuickBooks Online or Intuit Enterprise Suite accounts, you have the ability include a payment link directly on invoices sent out of Knowify, located below the invoice line items. That link takes your clients to a payment portal where they can pay you via ACH or credit card. As soon as your client pays, you’ll see the revenue reflected in both Knowify and QuickBooks, with no double entry needed.

As a general rule, we suggest handling all of your project-related financial processes and general construction management in Knowify. This includes creating estimates, proposals, building job templates, job costing (including labor costing, purchase orders, and expenses), time tracking, subcontractor management, storing project documents, monitoring progress on the job, and sending out client invoices.
For managing the top-level cash flow of your business, doing tax prep, or handling non-project related expenses, you should use your QuickBooks Online account rather than Knowify.

Every Knowify plan allows you to handle basic processes like creating estimates, sending proposals, and invoicing customers. Knowify’s QuickBooks integrations are available on all plans.
When sending one or multiple invoices through Knowify, QuickBooks Payments users are able to include a payment link on their client’s invoices. Clients can then pay via ACH or credit card. Payments are automatically reconciled with the client invoice in both Knowify and QuickBooks, so your financial data stays up to date with no double entry needed.
Knowify offers phase-by-phase job costing broken down by cost category (labor, materials, equipment, and subs) and all of that costing information is collected automatically as your team works. QuickBooks Online offers basic project costing, but it doesn’t reach the level of granularity that Knowify offers.
